It started with fifteen leaders on a phone line.
On Monday, April 3, 2017, about fifteen business leaders dialed into a phone line to pray before the work week started. I'd invited twenty by email and spent Sunday night wondering what I'd gotten myself into.
We kept going the next Monday, and the one after that. At one point 78 people were calling in. Then a friend bet me a steak and lobster dinner that a thousand people would watch if we put the prayer on Facebook Live. I lost the bet. Over 1,100 joined that week.
Today leaders from across North America, Europe, India, Asia, Africa and Australia pray along every Monday. We have never missed one.

Fair question. Who's behind this?
I'd ask it too. I'm Joe Petersen, from Fort Worth, Texas, and a father of eight. I spent three decades in real estate development, and these days I lead peer groups of Christian CEOs. On Mondays I get up around 5am, write the prayer for that morning, practice reading it out loud, and read it at 8:00 for whoever shows up. I've done that every Monday since April 3, 2017.
Here's what this is not. No offering is taken. The call costs you nothing and it always will. Your number is used for exactly one thing, the Monday morning text, and it is never sold or shared with anybody. If you want out, reply STOP and that's that. There's no catch to find. It's just prayer.
